Harald Blø

Harald Blø

Instrument: 1st Violin

Harald Blø is from Molde and joined the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in January 1987. He studied the violin with professors Leif Jørgensen and Kåre Sæther at Østlandets musikkonservatorium in Oslo.

Playing for the first time in the Ungdomssymfonikerne youth orchestra together with accomplished young musicians from all over Norway was a great experience for Harald. Another highlight was playing in the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Yehudi Menuhin who, despite his age, was incredibly charismatic.

Harald has represented the Orchestra on various committees throughout his time in the Bergen Philharmonic. When he doesn’t play he enjoys teaching. Harald is fond of sailing, skiing and diving, and is an expert handyman.
