We are ready for an evening with joyful music and exuberance when Concert Master Melina Mandozzi and Solo Violinist Ilze Klava join forces with the youngsters in the BFUng in Mozarts Sinfonia Concertante from 1779.

A cornucopia of musical creativity and elegance. Igor Stravinsky composed Symphonies for Winds in 1920 and dedicated the work to Claude Debussy.

The piece contains Russian elements at the same time as it is forward looking. The concert ends with Dvořáks Ninth Symphony, a masterpiece where the composer is looking back to his home country from the USA.

Tonight’s conductor is the young Eun Sun Kim whom our audience has the privilege of meeting in different musical settings this spring.
